Farnborough International Studios is proud to have hosted a unit base for the major motion picture Greenland 2 during its recent filming in the UK. The production, a sequel to the 2020 global disaster thriller Greenland starring Gerard Butler, utilised Farnborough’s state-of-the-art facilities as part of its UK-based operations.
Directed by Ric Roman Waugh and produced by STX Entertainment and Anton, Greenland 2 continues the story of a family’s survival in a world recovering from catastrophic events.
Serving as a secure and fully serviced logistical hub, Farnborough International Studios provided essential support for the Greenland 2 production team during their shoot. The site’s adaptable infrastructure, extensive on-site amenities, and convenient access to London and the South East made it an ideal base for a high-profile international production.
Discussing the Studios for the production, Assistant Locations Manager, Ricky Santos, said: “This was one of the best Crowd Bases I've ever used. So much space for everyone (we had big crowd numbers!) and all of our kit. The [Studios] team were incredible.”
