This November, Farnborough International Studios is welcoming location managers to an exclusive Familiarisation (FAM) Trip to showcase Hampshire’s most film-worthy spaces. Thanks to our strong regional relationships, attendees will explore a curated selection of local filming locations, from historic aviation facilities to iconic heritage landmarks, all just minutes from the studios.
This event is designed to showcase the filming potential surrounding Farnborough International Studios. The studios offer 210,000 sq ft of flexible indoor shooting space and 1,000,000 sq ft of unit-based facilities, and have hosted many productions such as Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire, Mission: Impossible – Fallout, to high-end TV series including Mobland and The Devils Hour. The tour will also take guests off-site to nearby filming locations that highlight the region’s cinematic appeal.
What’s in Store…
The FAM Trip begins with refreshments and networking before setting out to explore a curated selection of standout filming locations, including:
Farnborough International Studios – Two 22,000 sq ft sound stages, expansive indoor and outdoor shooting spaces.
The Historic Wind Tunnels – iconic landmarks that have shaped aerodynamic innovation, recently featured in Mobland and an Anthony Joshua commercial.
The Human Centrifuge – A truly historic and unique, never-before-filmed location right next door to the studios.
Waverley Abbey – 12th-century Cistercian ruins providing a historic backdrop for any production.
This FAM Trip is organised to showcase Hampshire’s impressive film locations, ranging from historic heritage sites to cutting-edge innovations, all conveniently located near our studios. A casual lunch will be hosted at The Village Hotel, followed by a return to Farnborough International Studios for a wrap-up and goody bag.
